| NOVA NATIONAL, PHOENIX AZ. MARCH 18-20, 2005
PHEW...it is EARLY! i got in the car, and drove through a SNOW STORM to get to Phoenix for my first race of the year. it was HARD to believe that i would be racing my mountain bike in the desert considering that it WAS STILL WINTER in colorado!
the sun was shining in phoenix and i was feeling good....UNTIL i ate at a salad bar for dinner on thursday night. i woke up SICK on friday and missed the Time Trial...food poisoning.
i woke up on saturday feeling like a NEW WOMAN! i got out and did my best in the Short Track and tried to rest and re-group for the Cross Country on Sunday. NOTE TO SELF: food poisoning depletes your system! i felt like a car that ran out of gas about 25 min into the XC. i finished and did my VERY best, but brought up the rear.
it is OK. i HAD FUN! ready for the rest of the season now! - Becca - posted: 4.3.05
